As you are looking around for phlebotomy training, look for a course where you get to see the most commonly used programs in hospitals so that when you eventually get a job, you are familiar with how they work.
Most patient records are also stored in hospital database and whether you are a phlebotomy technician or manage a blood bank, it’s likely that you will have to enter and maintain patient records as regards bloodwork and then share them with the other hospital staff as needed.

There are many courses that include the IT component, so it’s a question of looking for one which will allow you to learn the necessary software.
You also need the softer IT skills, especially in regard to communication. It’s likely that when you finally get a job you will learn during your orientation period about the system that the hospital you’re working for uses to communicate.
Some of the equipment is also linked to IT gadgets that process and analyze blood and then give results to you through a computer program.
