If you’re interested in completing a phlebotomy training course so that you can become eligible for the certification exam but you don’t want to quit your job or other obligations as a consequence, then you might be the perfect candidate for an online phlebotomy training option. Now, before you get too excited, the online courses still require you to participate and complete a specific number of hours in the classroom conducting hands-on training with an instructor; however, the classroom lecture portion of the class is completed on your own.
The primary benefit of this option is the freedom to construct your own learning & work schedule which lets you mold the class around your normal routine, instead of the other way around. This is a big attraction for many; keep in mind however, with this path comes more responsibility as you will have to keep yourself up to speed and on top of all reading/learning assignments so you don’t fall behind the checkpoints. After you finish the online correspondence and the in-class portion of your phlebotomy classes online you will then be eligible to submit your application to write the certification exam. If you’re accepted to write this exam and successfully pass it, then you’ll officially possess the standard requirements that most employers look for – amongst other things of course.
